Founded in 2023 by local climber and developer Faisal Al Rifai, Al Maha was born out of a deep passion for Jordan’s unique desert landscapes and world-class rock. Beneath Wadi Rum’s endless skies lies a desert painted in shades of gold, where sandstone boulders glow at dawn and dusk. Fields of Gold is the first bouldering film ever made in Wadi Rum, directed by Eadan Cunningham. It follows a group of climbers from the UK — Zoe Wood, Duncan Cunningham, and Luke Fletcher — alongside Jordan’s own Faisal Al Rifai, as they uncover the raw, untapped beauty of bouldering in this legendary desert.
